I am a 28 year old Christian female living in Houston, Texas (USA). I am blessed to have two beautiful God-children (8 yr old girl and 6 yr old boy) and the opportunity to be a part of their lives, though not nearly as much as I'd like these days.
I volunteered for the Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign and am continuing the battle to restore personal liberty in America as a Precinct Manager for the Campaign For Liberty. I love God, my family, and my country.
I am a secretary for an industrial parts distribution warehouse. I have a degree in broadcasting & public relations and a background in journalism. I love to write, and I love learning about different countries, cultures, interests, and beliefs.
I have one cat that's mine, and another half-dozen or so that constantly drop by my house in search of food. I sponsor a little girl (age 10) in Ethiopia through Compassion International. I support and pray for the persecuted church through The Voice of the Martyrs.
My interests include faith, freedom, politics, prophecy, current events, and how it all fits together. The long version is... life. Everything in it. Everything about it. The world we live in, what's going on, what it means, and why we're here. Have I mentioned that I have leanings towards the philosophical?
Speaking of philosophy...
My religious philosophy is that faith is between a person and God. Maybe we don't call him by the same name, or use the same words to describe our faith. That's okay. I will share my faith with you, because I believe that is what God wants me to do - but, the same way that he gives me free choice to accept him or not, I will not attempt to force my faith on anyone else. I believe that this world is big enough for all of us, and we can be friends regardless of our differences.
My political philosophy is much the same. I believe that the best thing any of us can do is get involved in our society's political process. Even if we don't agree on the issues, or what to do about them, that's okay. I may not agree with you, but I will defend at any cost your right to have your own opinions and beliefs - and I hope that you will do the same for others.
What is one thing most folks on Xanga probably don't know about you?

Thanks for posting this. "I may not agree with you, but I will defend at any cost your right to have your own opinions and beliefs - and I hope that you will do the same for others." I agree with this statement.

i really enjoyed learning so much about you!
I like it
very nice... i won't be doing an about me post because it would make it very easy for people to build a profiles on us all. Because of my views on freedom and privacy I opt out. They don't need to know much about me and those who do can meet me in person.
That was awesome. Now I feel like I know you better. Although, what I knew before was enough to know your heart...and your heart is, good. :)
I didn't know you had children! They're lucky to have a mother like you.
@afuncynicalbash - "They" know who we are anyway, if you're talking about the government. Who I am on this website is the same person I am in "real life," so I'm not afraid of attaching my identity to it.
@ShamelesslyRed - Thanks, hon.
@Teufels_Hofnarr - They aren't mine, they're my god-children
Ok, i did this in my journal.
btw, i think it's neat that you show compassion to others in need (Ethiopian girl, persecuted church) including cats!
Hi! Kewl idea! I'm sure in on this "About me" thingy! Is there anything I have to put into the post, I mean except that notice at the bottom?
Enjoyed reading this as well as your informative posts.I have not been real active on Xanga lately but I still read my inbox stuff. I agree with you on Waco...always have thought it was a coverup and feel so horrible about what those people went through as we watched in horror and disbelief.
Keep up the good work and remember...
Jesus has prevailed and the time is coming when all this evil that is hidden will be revealed and God will avenge.
comeing into town for easter. should be home late thurs. night. bringing andrew. please relay to christen.
Thank you for sharing. I wish the best for you and your family
...and all the time, I thought you were the crazy one with the Ron Paul poster! Want another cat?
i really should do this - but i'm currently feeling pretty broken ...
@radicalramblings -
Oh, oops.
No matter, they're still fortunate anyway!
I like it! I'll do it tomorrow when my brain is less allergy fried. I did add you to my protected posts. I thought you were already there, but I was wrong. :)
I did this but I did my own spin on it. Bullets FTW lol
The 'Ron Paul' poster told alot about you....I wish he would have gotten in, we wouldn't be in this mess. Anyway, I knew you were the 'independant freedom fighter' from the photo....now you filled in the gaps that I didn't know. I see why so many people read your posts!
@OzarkCitySlicker - I wish he'd gotten in, too - but most of the "mess" we are in started at least 30 years ago and some of it a lot longer than that. Obama has made some bad decisions - but even the best choices wouldn't fix things this quickly
=)
@Teufels_Hofnarr - @radicalramblings - The children aspect. I learned something new, then saw the explaination below in comments, and thought Wow! But, in this you have shown a bit of your heart, which explains a bit more about why you care, ms radicalramblings.
@radicalramblings - Got any ideas about how we can divest ourselves of Obama? Every time he speaks, the Market goes down, and the prestige of the United States as "a Christian nation" goes down another notch.
Wow! You're a very compassionate woman as well as being a great writer. I truly love your blog and always am challenged and inspired by what you say here, so it's great to finally know a bit more about the person behind the words.
@pb49r - We can either be a Christian nation, which will eventually change leadership powers and some other faith will be promoted and we will find ourselves oppressed, or we can be a free nation, which allows us as Christians to practice our faith along with those of all faiths. I prefer the latter. That is step one - wake up and realize that the best way to preserve our freedom is to preserve ALL freedoms. When you get there, let me know, and maybe we can discuss ways to rise up against this government that is quickly taking away our freedoms. But without that basic understanding that fighting for freedom for ourselves means fighting for it for everyone, we'll never accomplish anything.
@ZombieMom_Speaks -
well I don't know about all of that but uhm, thanks
