Pray for Florida!
You have got to be kidding me... another mass shooting?
Orlando Office Building Locked Down After Shooting...
Former Employee Opens Fire at Orlando Office...
1 Dead, 5 Hurt in Orlando Shooting; Gunman Caught...
And people wonder why I am so quick to point out that hatred is not the appropriate response to violence. Violence breeds violence... tragedy breeds tragedy... unless we INTERRUPT that cycle, by responding with love, instead of hate. It's not about the people who perpetrate these crimes... it is about us, and our response. How do YOU respond to tragedy in YOUR life?

Historically, my Initial response has been reactionary in nature. Sometimes this response still surfaces, but is quickly subdued to act in wisdom and in love.
I have just heard about this on the news.
To violence, I've always reacted out of instinct and the cold calm thinking that always invades my mind when crisis hits. I'm very rational, rather than emotional, when my adrenaline's pumping.
In the aftermath, or tragedy, my reaction is to take care of everyone and everything...and my mind's no longer super clear...I don't have the cold clarity I have when something's happening (after a brief moment of shock)...but my emotions are still "put away" for the most part.
I never react with hate, anger, as a general rule. I do try to think everything through.
I tend to ponder the reasoning for these events. Why someone shoots multiple people...
I might react differently if I had a personal connection to the victims.
I cry for all of us.
